I feel that a blog may be a good way to communicate with parents. I especially like the translate option for parents. This could really help make sure all parents feel included. I do worry about trying to keep up to many forms of communication: communication sheet, web page and a blog.
I think students would find it fun, and it would be a good review, to be able to go to my blog to watch a video from class.
Using class videos would be wonderful for parents and others who can't make it into the classroom to see different activities. This by itself would be great communication.
ReplyDeleteThe difficulty would be if the parent does not give permission for their child to be in pictures for the internet.
I think the translator would be so helpful.
I agree with your comment about maintaining sites and other forms of communication. If only one outlet was used, I think that would be most beneficial for teachers and easier to follow for families.
